While growing up in Jackson, Michigan, Antonie Thomas, who was given the nickname NuNu by his grandmother Sadie, excelled as the third oldest of three brothers and one sister. He was a straight “A” student who ran track, was an outstanding artist and even volunteered with Habitat For Humanity and The Humane Society. When he reached college, NuNu continued making good grades, while he also studied to become an electrician. From the beginning, it appeared that NuNu was on a route bound for doing great things in the future. However, before he could reach this point in his life, he would first have to overcome years of hurdles.

In 1996, NuNu's father was sent to prison. Following suit, NuNu also ended up going to prison in 1999. Between then and 2011, he continued going in and out of prison. It was during this time, however, that he realized his talent for rapping. Although he never saw himself becoming a rapper, he used his newly discovered talent to express himself, which quickly helped him to gain new attention for his southern, Hot Boy style.

In 1999, NuNu, alongside his friends Rickey Dempsey, Jarome Arnold and Jamaal Hunt, signed on with Loonside Records under the group name, Unsolved Mysteries. After releasing the albums Vol.1 and Vol.2, NuNu decided to go solo in mid 2000. Since then, he has performed at numerous events throughout Michigan and has opened for artist such as Twista, Waka Flaka, and DMX. After his 2011 release from prison, NuNu started his own label, Nu Records, with Producers Andre Norris and Jonathan Rice. As an independent artist, NuNu has released 11 albums and has been able to sell thousands of CDs.

For the future, NuNu, who now also goes by SupremeNu, plans on releasing albums that tell the stories of his past. In his albums, Beast Mode, Criminal History and the many others that are still in development, fans are able to feel the pain, frustration, and most importantly, positivity that he has felt throughout his life and career. Through his music, fans will quickly see how his voice and overall delivery make him the unique artist he is today and will continue to be for many more years to come.
